Seward Front Row B&B
Lori and I along with three other couples purchased the corner lot of Seward. We literally have ocean to the south of us and ocean to the east of us. During construction of the two duplex townhouses the project was nick named “Front Row”, thus the name.We offer some of the best views in town, allowing our guest a tranquil place to relax while observing wildlife as they sip their morning coffee. The dining room and living room are wall to wall windows, looking out at Resurrection bay, Mt. Alice, Lowell Pt and the islands protecting the mouth of the bay.
Our first visit to Seward was about 15 years ago. Unlike most visitors we arrived by sailboat. We started our adventure in the Caribbean, went trough the Panama Canal and followed Capt. Cook’s route through Hawaii up to Alaska. We sailed the Alaskan waters for a year wintering here in Seward. We then sailed to Mexico and spent two additional years in the South Pacific. When we completed our adventure we chose Seward as our new home. We love it here more then any place we have ever visited.
We operate the B&B in the historic Alaskan fashion. We share our home with our guest. We like most Alaskan’s, try to get 9 months of living in the 3 months of summer. We work hard and we spend as much time in the out doors as possible. Winters are for catching up on sleep. Lori works a full time job and I’m at the Inn quite early in the morning. Here at the B&B we offer a self service full or continental breakfast. Take your time and enjoy the morning at your own pace. We have a pair of otters and several sea lions that feed just off shore and it is not uncommon to see eagles catching fish or the occasional whale. The Inn is a short block away so there is always someone close if you need something or just some help with tours. While you’re here, our house is your house. Life is short, enjoy.
