The building now occupied by A Swan nest inn was originally built in 1918 by the I.O.O.F. International Order of Odd Fellows.

The 1921 Fourth of July Parade passes the I.O.O.F. building.  Mt Marathon, Home of the second oldest foot race on the USA, is visible in the background.

Building condition in 2000.  Local Sewardites considered her beyond saving.

In 2003 we received the Chamber of commerce “Most Improved Business site” award.
